Covid Statement – 24th February 2022
Welcome back to your Playhouse. Our priority is to keep our customers, artists and staff safe.
Following the Government’s announcement regarding the lifting of restrictions, we have reviewed our COVID-secure procedures. The following remains in place:
Face masks
We are asking those that can wear a mask to please consider doing so, especially when moving around our building. These can be removed when seated for food or drink.
Full Capacity
We shall run at full capacity of the full house. This shall offer approximately 260 seats for sale.
Hand sanitiser
We will continue to provide hand sanitiser around the building, with signage encouraging people to regularly clean their hands.
Ventilation
We aim to maximise fresh air intake to our venue via windows and our air handling units – which all introduce fresh air to the venue. We are also monitoring the air quality of our venue with CO2 detectors. We will follow HSE advice regarding ventilation.
Cleaning procedures
We have always prided ourselves on maintaining a clean building, and twice daily cleaning will remain.
E-tickets
E-tickets (emailed to your phone) seek to minimise contact between staff, volunteers and customers, and we will continue to offer e-ticketing across all our events and activities. Tickets can also be posted out ahead of performances for an additional charge of £1.50
Contactless and Card Payments
Contactless and card only payments were also introduced to minimise contact. Alnwick Playhouse will continue to prefer payment at the Box Office and refreshment counter by debit or credit card where possible. All sales points are equipped with contactless payment facilities, and we also accept Apple and Google pay.
Risk assessments
We have a rigorous system of risk assessments in place for everything we do, and these are regularly reviewed and updated. We will continue to consider COVID as a risk when looking at the controls and mitigations we need to put in place.
If you have any concerns, please get in touch via the Box Office.
