DRAGON

Dragon is a visual stunning, fantasy genre puppetry show for families and children aged 7+, taking audiences on an exhilarating 70 min adventure, mixing cutting edge projection and digital animation with beautiful live puppetry, performed by a cast of 3 to a soaring original score.

This, thought provoking and wordless show is perfect for adults and children aged 7+ and audiences with limited English or English as a second language.

An exciting but dangerous adventure set in a verdant valley ringed by mountains that protect it from the outside world. In this rich and beautiful land, a young orphaned child is reluctantly taught their hunting duties by their older sibling, but in this land where Dragons are real they will soon learn of the dark magical cycle at the heart of their world and what the true price of living in paradise is.

Dragon has been created by Life and Limb Puppets, a co-founder of Newcastle’s Moving Parts Puppetry Festival. The production has been supported by Horse and Bamboo, Alphabetti Theatre and the Curious School of Puppetry. Dragon has been created using funding by Arts Council England and Newcastle City Council Community Foundation.
