FILM CLUB: HOW TO START A CAREER IN FILMS


What happens when you give a group of young people a camera, and ask them to make a film? Here’s what.

Kris Deedigan, founder of My Life Productions on how:

  • Drama and film is safe and effective place to explore difficult issues and behaviours.
  • We use film to give a voice to people who are under represented.
  • Community arts and film making reduces crime and anti social behaviour and allows young people to explore their lives and mental health.
  • Stories help use resolve conflicts.

Kris Deedigan is an actor and director and founder of My Life productions, a not for profit community company that works with young people to create inspiring films.

Parking is located to the rear of the Playhouse in the public car parks. Parking discs are required to be displayed until 6pm and are available from the Visitor Information Centre located within the Playhouse building. Please check individual car park signs for any time restrictions.
