MYSTERY AND MAGIC WITH ANN CLEEVES

The Raging Storm, Stories from the Sea, sponsored by Sanderson Young

Mystery and Magic with Ann Cleeves in conversation with RNLI Life saving Lead Anna Heslop

Ann will be in conversation with Anna Heslop as we delve into the stormy waters of a brand new Two Rivers novel and hear all about Detective Matthew Venn’s latest investigation, The Raging Storm.

When Jem Rosco, a sailor, adventurer, and local legend, blows into town in the middle of an autumn gale, the residents of Greystone, Devon, are delighted to have a celebrity in their midst. The residents think nothing of it when Rosco disappears again; that’s the sort of man he is.

Until the lifeboat is launched to a hoax call-out during a raging storm and a body is found in a cove with spooky legends of its own.

At this event, in conversation with Anna Heslop, Ann will explore the turbulent depths of murder and magic and learn everything there is to know about DI Matthew Venn’s latest case.

Ann Cleeves is the author of more than 30 novels, among them the series that inspired the hit U.K. TV series Vera and Shetland. Her many honors have included the Crime Writers’ Association’s highest accolade, the Diamond Dagger, and, recognizing her work as a champion of literacy and of the library sector, an OBE.

Anna Heslop is at the helm at Cullercoats Lifeboat Station. She joined the RNLI in 2013 aged 17 and became the first female helm in the 170 year history of Cullercoats.
